Every action, one flick away.
WorkRing opens an 8-sector ring right at your cursor. Run Shortcuts, jump to folders, launch apps, paste snippets and send keyboard shortcuts, all without leaving the spot where your hand already is.
✓ Notarized DMG · 100% local · no telemetry in the app
Hover a sector
A faster way to reach what you use every day
Eight sectors, one gesture. Muscle memory replaces menu hunting.
Ring at your cursor
Summon an 8-sector ring exactly where the pointer is with a global hotkey or a mouse button. Flick in a direction and release.
A ring for every app
Each frontmost app can have its own dedicated profile, so the ring always offers the right actions for what you are doing.
Run macOS Shortcuts
Trigger any Shortcut from your library with one flick, from resizing images to starting a focus routine.
Open specific folders
Jump straight to the Finder folders you live in: Downloads, a client project, a shared drive.
Launch, open, paste
Start apps, open URLs and paste saved text snippets from the same ring.
System controls
Change volume with the scroll wheel and an on-screen display, open Mission Control, lock the screen or take screenshots.
Cross-app keyboard shortcuts
Full Edition can send keyboard shortcuts to the app in front. This needs the macOS Accessibility permission, which you grant yourself.
Feels good, looks right
Subtle sound and haptic feedback, plus dark and light themes that follow your taste.
Per-app profiles: the ring changes with your work
Switch to another app and the ring switches with you. Set it up once, then stop thinking about it.
In a browser you may want tabs and bookmarks. In a code editor, build and search. In Finder, your project folders. WorkRing keeps a separate eight-sector layout for each app you choose and falls back to a default ring everywhere else.

Frequently asked questions
What is WorkRing?
WorkRing is a radial quick-action app for macOS. A global hotkey or mouse button opens an 8-sector ring at your cursor, and each sector runs an action such as a Shortcut, opening a folder or launching an app.
Is it on the Mac App Store?
No. The Full Edition described on this site is distributed directly from this website as a notarized DMG.
Why does the Full Edition ask for Accessibility permission?
Only for sending keyboard shortcuts to other apps. macOS requires the Accessibility permission for that. You grant it yourself in System Settings, and you can revoke it at any time.
Does WorkRing collect my data?
The app runs entirely on your Mac and has no telemetry. This website uses only strictly necessary storage by default, and analytics only after you opt in.
Which macOS versions are supported?
macOS 14 or later.
Can I use a different ring in each app?
Yes. Per-app profiles give each frontmost app its own eight-sector layout, with a default ring for all other apps.
How does licensing work?
Choose a monthly or annual subscription, or a lifetime license, and activate it inside the app. See the pricing section for details.
What is the Plugin Market?
It is a planned feature that will let subscribers and lifetime users download ready-made per-app ring profiles. It is not available yet.
