Change Mac Volume with the Scroll Wheel
Adjust your Mac's volume with the scroll wheel while the ring is open, with an on-screen display. A simple trick for faster audio control.
The idea
Volume is something you adjust often and in small steps. Keys on the keyboard work, but they are far from the mouse, and the menu bar slider needs precise aiming.
The scroll wheel is a natural fit: turn it up or down, and the volume follows.
How it works in WorkRing
Open the ring, point at the volume sector and scroll. WorkRing changes the system volume and shows an on-screen display so you see the level immediately. The ring can also offer mute and other system controls.
Other system sectors include Mission Control, lock screen and screenshots.
Tips
Keep volume on a sector near the direction your hand finds easiest. Combine it with sound and haptic feedback if you like a more tactile feel.
Download WorkRing
WorkRing opens an 8-sector ring right at your cursor. Run Shortcuts, jump to folders, launch apps, paste snippets and send keyboard shortcuts, all without leaving the spot where your hand already is.
